NEW YORK, NY - September 19, 2023 - Next League, the leading digital growth consultancy and technology services organization working exclusively within the global sports industry, today announced the hires of Katherine Krohn, who will lead its new Venues & Events Practice, and Jenna Trabulus, as its VP, Client
Strategy & Delivery.

The Next League Venues & Events practice has been established to address the growing demand for comprehensive venue technology management services within the sports business industry. The technology required to serve fans in venues plays a critical role in the strategy for sports organizations; given our team’s decades of experience and track record of success in this space, we are uniquely qualified to deliver these solutions with the highest level of expertise and support.

Katherine Krohn has over 15 years of experience orchestrating the strategy and deployment of technology for venues at scale, having spent 12 years at Mobilitie and most recently at ASM Global. As head of this new practice, Katherine will build a team committed to delivering tailored solutions that cater to its partners' unique needs. She will collaborate closely with the broader Commercial and Strategy teams to identify opportunities and create value-driven solutions; she will report directly to David Nugent, Next League’s CEO.

“Announcing the launch of our Venues & Events practice marks an exciting milestone in the evolution of the Next League business and our journey to better serve our clients and expand our capabilities,” said David. “We are excited to leverage Katherine’s vast network and extensive experience as we build out our Venues & Events practice and believe investing in this area will continue to accelerate Next League’s vision of being the leading digital evolution and technology services company in the sports industry.”

“I am thrilled to join Next League and to lead its Venues & Events practice area, especially during this disruptive time in the industry” said Katherine. “I have been fortunate to have spent my career working at the intersection of venue and technology; the rapid advancements we are seeing in this area today are contributing to this unprecedented moment in the sports technology industry. I am excited to leverage my experience and build upon the relationships and partnerships I’ve forged over the years and believe that, working closely with the great team at Next League, the Venues & Events practice will set industry standards to continue to drive the evolution of the sports industry forward.”

For over 15 years, Jenna Trabulus has successfully combined her commercial experience with deep technical expertise to help guide partners on building successful digital products, deploying technology and leveraging the power of brand to engage fans and communities. She will leverage this expertise in her role as VP, Client Strategy & Delivery, where she will oversee the delivery of projects within Next League’s largest accounts while also playing a role in overall business development efforts. Jenna will report to Becki Civello, Next League’s COO.

Jenna was most recently at Deltatre, where she managed executive-level relationships and was responsible for building the North American D2C business and new business models in sport.

She is incredibly passionate about harnessing the power of women to change the business landscape of sport, pushing for greater equity and equality industry-wide. As Strategic Advisor to the President and COO of the three-time WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks, she redefined the team’s digital, partnership and revenue strategy around content, social impact and community. She continues to be an advisor to XSET, an emerging esports and lifestyle brand focused on diversity and inclusion in gaming and CUB3, a web3 community platform.

“Jenna brings a wealth of relevant experience and deep industry knowledge to the entire Next League team,” said Becki. “We are excited she’s joined us and know her impact will be felt by both our partners and internal teams.”

“Throughout my career,  I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work across different areas of the sports technology industry, from teams and agencies to brands and technology providers,” said Jenna. “I am excited to bring my experiences and relationships to Next League and collaborate with our partners and teams to continue to drive the evolution of the sports industry forward.”

Part of Next League's mission includes partnering with sports organizations to make investments that have a lasting social impact. Both personally and professionally, Jenna has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to and passion for pushing for equality within the sports industry.

"Joining an organization that places a strong emphasis on commitment to causes and the overall transformative power of sport is something very important to me," said Jenna. "I am glad to be joining Next League as it is unwavering in its dedication to drive the industry forward, causes that lead to meaningful change and creating equal opportunities and access for those who may not otherwise have had it."

Both women will be representing Next League at industry events this week. Katherine will be attending Sports Business Journal’s DRIVE in St. Louis, along with Lindsay Schwartz, Next League’s Director, Business Development.
