In celebration of its brand launch and commitment to social impact, Next League recently made a financial donation to WiST. These funds will directly support the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.womeninsportstech.org\/wist-fellowships\"><strong>WiST Fellows Program<\/strong><\/a>, offering fully paid summer internships for female undergrad and graduate students, enabling young women to gain meaningful work experience across the sports ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be able to make this initial contribution and to announce our strategic partnership with Women in Sports Tech,\u201d said Next League\u2019s Co-Founder and CEO David Nugent. \u201cI\u2019ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with WiST Board Chair Alysse Soll for over 15 years and have been incredibly impressed by the work and mission of this incredible organization. On behalf of Next League, we are excited to play a role in helping to #ChangeTheRatio.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are so fortunate to have Next League on board as a partner,\u201d said Marilou McFarlane, WiST Founder\/CEO and former CMO of Mustard and President of STATSports North America. \u201cWe\u2019ve seen explosive growth and interest in our programs since WiST\u2019s inception from corporate partners like Next League. This is a testament to how companies aim to directly inspire and impact the careers of young women while working to change the ratio and improve the culture of their workforces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, WiST awarded 24 WiST Fellowship grants for summer internship projects for female undergraduate and graduate university students, representing an increase of 60% in the number of Fellows from the 2020 class. Applications for the 2022 WiST Fellowship class opened December 15 and run through January 30, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nugent also announced all profits of his recently published book \"<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Zero-Sales-Generating-Services-Revenue\/dp\/1737970104\/\">Zero Sales<\/a><\/strong>\", based on his career experience working in and managing commercial organizations, will go directly to WiST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information on Next League, and its positioning as part of a larger business announcement, will come in early 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Women in Sports Tech (WiST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WiST is a nonprofit organization driving growth opportunities for women in sports tech and innovation, at all stages of their career, from the classroom to the boardroom. Its flagship initiative, the WiST Fellowship program, provides grants for highly motivated college and graduate school students to pursue summer projects in sports technology. In 2021, WiST awarded 24 Fellowships, 60% more than the number of grants in 2020, and 58% of the grantees are women of color.
