He will be part of the Executive Management team and will report to David Nugent, Next League\u2019s Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juan was most recently at Dapper Labs as the Vice President, Sports Partnerships, where he managed their NBA and NFL partnerships and was pivotal in shaping these partners\u2019 NFT business strategies. Juan had previously spent more than six years at Meta (formerly Facebook Inc.) leading their strategic sports partnership efforts, advising brands like UFC, Overtime, Peloton and Major League Baseball clubs on how to grow their businesses via digital strategies. He started his career in the sports industry at the office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball; he worked there in various capacities over seven years, first completing the Executive Development program and ultimately co-leading the restructuring of the international baseball operations process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJuan joining our team is a powerful statement on Next League\u2019s position in the sports ecosystem and will help accelerate the vision we have for being the most important digital evolution partner in sports,\u201c said David Nugent, Next League\u2019s CEO. \u201cWe are thrilled to have Juan on our team and know his wealth of relevant experience, deep industry knowledge and a track record of success will help accelerate that vision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am excited to join the Next League team as I\u2019ve been fortunate to work for companies that have played an integral role in the evolution of the sports technology industry throughout my career,\u201d said Juan. \u201cThis is an unprecedented moment in the sports industry, and advancements in technology, and the applications of it, are a huge reason why.
